GOOD SHEPHERD MINISTRY
This is the social group to plan fun activities at CTK. Some examples are: Halloween Party, Cookies & Crafts before Christmas, Soup & Pie Suppers, Roast Beef Dinner, Rummage Sale and serving the Banquet.
LITURGICAL MINISTRY
There is a Liturgical Committee that meets monthly to assist with the planning and decorating for the Liturgies. Help with decorating during the special seasons such as Easter and Christmas is always needed.
Weekend Mass Volunteers help with the weekend Liturgies. Eurcharistic Ministers help the Priest distribute communion. They are given special training and are commissioned each year. Lectors proclaim the Gospel and Ushers help seat the people and take the collection. Altar Servers are youth that assist the Priest during Mass. Greeters welcome people as they arrive for Mass. Sacristans help the Priest set up for Mass and make sure the volunteers are there. All these volunteers are given special training. Eucharistic Ministers also take communion to shut-ins and those in nursing homes. They receive the hosts at the end of 8 am Sunday Mass.
MUSIC
There are several Choirs at Christ the King. Notes of Joy sings at the 4 pm Saturday Mass, Liturgical Choir sings at the 10 am Sunday Mass, and Many Hearts One Voice sings at the 7 pm Sunday Mass. There is also a Consolation Choir that sings at funerals and we also have a Handbell Choir.
